Я тут недавно прочитала фик на английском языке - The Forgotten Contract.
Оказывается, существует контракт, по которому Гарри и Сьюзен должны пожениться. Как будут развиваться их отношения? А что, если от этого зависит что-то большее?
Таймлайн - 6 курс. И да, описание я не перевела, а сама сочинила

мысли о персонажах - спойлерно

мне очень понравился, какой там Дамблдор. он вроде и такой же, как в каноне, верит в лучшее в людях и бла-бла-бла, и в то же время как-то мудрее, больше берёт на себя и меньше на других (не то чтобы это всегда было хорошо), и он просто уставший старый человек.

Снейп. Снейп там прекрасен. он не пытается "спасти Драко", как Дамблдор - он видит реальную угрозу для всех и хочет её устранить. и он делает, он реально что-то делает (как и Дамблдор, в отличие от канона, где он бОльшую часть времени макал Гарри в омут памяти)
он очень живо реагирует на то, что Дамблдор открыл Гарри его историю.
и в конце он, очевидно, всё же смог преодолеть свою ненависть к Гарри.
ему тяжело, что Дамблдора не стало. но как же я рада за ЭТОГО Снейпа, что ему не пришлось даже ДУМАТЬ о том, чтобы убить Дамблдора своими руками.

Драко. он меня разочаровал сначала. но потом я поняла: он ЛОГИЧЕН. у меня к нему и в каноне особых претензий нет. но он МОГ стать и таким. он как человек дико мне неприятен. но как персонаж - как персонаж он получился отлично.

I'm from Russia, and I hardly ever read fics in English, but my boyfriend often does, and one day he was reading "The Forgotten Contract". You see, I don't like this type of stories - when characters are forced to be with each other - but I accidentally started to read and I got really interested.

Well I'd like to say that the plot is really fascinating. I love how all this romantic staff intersects with war and so on. The way you got rid of Voldemort is amazing. Though it leaves the chance that he comes back - I believe he doesn't. One thing remains unclear - what did Snape and McGonagall about Draco. But let it be.

And there is something about characters themselves. I like the way they improve here. // Hey people who haven't read the whole story! There are spoilers below! //

First of all it's Dumbledore. He is like Rowling's one in many things. His belief in the best human qualities etc. But also I see him much more wise here. He tries to do more himself - well I don't think it's always a good way - but he really does a lot, he managed to find all horcruxes. And after all he's just a tired old man. Still his death seems to be - yes, the beginning of something new for him, not the end.

Snape. Oh he's great. I'm definitely not one of his fan-girls, but YOUR Snape is... well, let's come step by step. He doesn't try to "save Draco" as he sees real threat for everyone - and does something to deal with it. And his reaction for revealing his past is very vivid. It seems obvious he managed to come over his hate for Harry. And yeah - realizing that Dumbledore's dead is hard for him, but how am I happy that THIS Snape didn't have even to THINK about killing Dumbledore himself!

Then Draco. Firstly I was disappointed, but... Almost every character changed for he better, why can't one Draco be a little more bad? And I think he really COULD become like this.

Again positive change - Ron. And well Lavender too. You pictured their relationship much more... healthier, because they are interested in each other, not in impressing someone else. I like Ron/Hermione, but I can accept other. And Hermione's story is also believable. It's a good idea that she is with a muggle boy.

There's a plenty of characters, and one may talk a lot about how Harry is like Harry or how interesting Susan is or that Aunt Amelia is incredibly great or... But all they LIVE in your story, and this is the most important.

I feel that I didn't said everything I meant to (and sorry for my English), but... That's that )))
